Comedy Magician Dave Cox
We are proud to have Dave Cox, one of our own, with us this year.
Dave grew up in Virden and became a member of our club when he was in his teens. We mentored and groomed him and wow, he now travels the world doing magic and is a regular at the prestigious Magic Castle
Dave Cox is hilarious. He's very, very funny. More than that, he'll fool the pants off of you. And then he'll very politely give them back, unlike some of those weaselly trouser stealing magicians I'm sure you've heard so much about.
Dave’s quick wit, spellbinding magic, and side-splitting comedy gets your entire audience involved in a smart, high energy, fast paced show, filled with magic, hilarity, and, occasionally, a real live bunny rabbit. As Dave likes to say, he gets the credit for the miracles, but you get the credit for creating such a fun, wonderful, and wondrous event.
Dave looks forward to the opportunity to delight and amaze you.
Tomas Medina has been called “One of the funniest and most entertaining REAL WORLD working magicians.” Tomas has been performing his quirky, engaging brand of magic since the age of thirteen. Past credits include the opening for Nelly, Mya, The Brian Setzer Orchestra, The Faint, Velvet Revolver, Third Eye Blind, Mix Master Mike, the Ravonettes, and Joey’s eighth birthday (in Hinsdale , Illinois ). Tomás’ talents have been featured on seven instructional DVDs aimed at professional magicians. Other credits include work at Las Vegas’ famous Palms Hotel and Casino, Allstate Arena, BB King’s (New York), and commercials for the USA Network.
Local Magician Tony Dowell
Springfield resident Tony Dowell does incredible things. He combines music, choreography and of course magic to create an art form that has been called, “cutting edge and very hip”. Tony is truly an award winning magician. He has competed in and won stage competitions throughout the United States and was recently named Magician of the Year by IBM Ring 239.
Comedy Magician Tom Burgoon is a dynamic polished professional who has been delighting audiences across the country for over 20 years! He has performed in all 50 states, major hotels, nightclubs, cruise ships, and Las Vegas. As magic is his first love, it is only befitting that you will find him performing at the Magic Castle in Hollywood – a conjurer's delight and layman's mystical dream come true.
Tom has branded his unparalleled one-of-a-kind-show and has become one of the most in demand performers today. He has performed with such great comedians as Robin Williams, Louie Anderson, Drew Carey, Sinbad and Sam Kinison!
Tom is one of our favorite performers and has been invited back by popular demand.
Ventriloquist Rick Fisher
Rick Fisher has been performing as a magician/ventriloquist for more than thirty years! He believes in having fun with his audience, weather they are a group of children or company executives. Rick has become a Ring 239 favorite. This will be his fourth appearance at our evening show. His act is hilarious.
When Rick is not performing he spends his time running Fab Magic, his magic shop and manufacturing company in Colon Michigan, the Magic Capitol of the World.
Magician Eldon Roark
Eldon's career in magic began at the age of ten when he purchased a box of Cracker Jacks with a magic trick inside. This spurred his interest in magic, which later developed into a full time career. Eldon was named Magician of the Year by the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Ring 239. He has also appeared in his own television special. When not performing, Eldon lectures for magic fraternities, writes for magic publications and designs illusions for his company, White Magic Manufacturing, which creates props for magicians worldwide.
